Meet the Team

Aaron Lorshbough, DVM

Dr. Aaron graduated from Linfield College, then Oregon State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After vet school, he completed a small animal internship with an emphasis in general practice and emergency medicine in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Aaron met Dr. Beth in vet school, married her and moved to Kona to take the reins from Dr. Tucker and his wife, Marilyn.

Dr. Aaron’s special areas of interest are dentistry, emergency medicine, and early behavior training. He also enjoys soft tissue surgery. When out of the office, he loves playing basketball, working with friends at church and spending time with Beth and their son, John.

Elizabeth Jose, DVM

Dr. Beth attended St. Joseph School and the University of Hawaii in Hilo, then Oregon State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After vet school, she interned at MedVet in Columbus, Ohio to gain experience in surgery, internal medicine, radiology, ophthalmology, and dermatology. In practice, Dr. Beth utilizes ultrasound to provide diagnostic help for challenging cases.

Dr. Aaron is Beth’s partner in life, and they enjoy raising a very energetic son who keeps them on their toes. When not at Ali’i Vet, Dr. Beth is often at Hawaii Island Humane Society’s Animal Community Center, working to provide veterinary care to shelter pets and the community.

Eve Tremain, DVM

Dr. Eve attended Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she met her husband…who just happened to be from Kona. She worked at Ali’i Vet during her summers off, then as a doctor at a busy small animal practice in Bellevue, Washington before moving to Hawaii. Dr. Eve’s areas of interest are dentistry, preventative medicine, and client education.

At home, Eve enjoys spending time with her husband Erik and son, Aeden. She is a lifelong soccer player and loves biking, hiking and spending time at the beach. Gir, Motor and Walter are 3 kitties who moved from Washington – they complete the crew at the Tremain household.

Deborah Fine-Ferreira, DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Fine first lived in Hawaii prior to vet school, working with dolphins at Kewalo Basin’s Marine Mammal Institute. She graduated from Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine and became a board-certified Cardiologist following 6 additional years of training at Michigan State and the University of Minnesota. After teaching, researching, and practicing at the University of Missouri, Dr. Fine returned to Hawaii with her family…and we are thrilled to have her! She continues to evaluate patients with heart and lung disease, but also provides comprehensive general health care.

At home, Deb loves spending time with her husband and two sons, snorkeling, cooking, and reading with her kitty, Luke, curled up on her lap.

Bryan Roberts, DVM

Dr. Roberts received his undergraduate degree from Purdue, attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, then completed a clinical year of study at Oklahoma State University. He enjoys soft tissue surgery and finds challenging medical cases extremely rewarding. Spending time getting to know patients to help provide optimal care is at the forefront of Dr. Robert’s practice style.

Having two rescued Golden Retrievers, Dallas with a type of cancer called lymphoma and Walter with severe epilepsy, gives Dr. Roberts first-hand experience with the challenges that come with special-needs pets.
